Radar and Video Fusion
Galeta, Ondřej ; Reich, Bořek (oponent) ; Maršík, Lukáš (vedoucí práce)
The main goal of this work is to increase the quality of object tracking in three-dimensional space using the fusion of radar and video data obtained from traffic monitoring scenes. The thesis presents several methods dealing with collecting point pairs from both sensor coordinate systems for spatial calibration of sensors, with an emphasis on automation. It solves the association problem of multiple detected objects at once using a modified Hungarian algorithm. The work also shows some methods of predicting the distance of objects detected by video using a dataset obtained from radar. Output from the fusion model provides spatially extended tracks and more accurate counting of tracked objects than radar or video models alone, which can be used for further analysis of traffic in the observed scene.
